Scissor Sisters Art has been created by a mother and daughter team who wanted to surprise and delight mothers and children alike with unique and inspiring art pieces. All pieces are completely original and hand-made in Tasmania using stunning Yuzen (Japanese) papers.

Hope Blossoms Eternal

A lovely and surprising thing happened at The Barn Market on Saturday that we wanted to share with you.

A lady came up to our stall and we were having a chat. Her gaze fell upon our framed blossom picture, her face crumpled and she started crying. Lucy and I were both taken aback and of course asked her if she was ok. It turned out her friend had been diagnosed with cancer some time ago and had fought a brave battle and won! 

 In honour of her struggle each of her 5 friends had tattooed a Japanese blossom (similar design to the one pictured) on their bodies. What an amazing story don't you think?

She then bought the picture for her brave friend. Such an honour that one of our pieces should present such an incredible struggle. We do hope she liked it : )
